Managing technical changes should be the ultimate destination for any organization, but in higher education, that destination is often filled with traffic jams of confusion or highjacked by groups that aren't willing to participate. Join this session to learn how Texas A&M's Division of Information Technology overcame these roadblocks to complete the first stage of change management and then shifted gears to head for stage two. Kyle Boatsman will identify what's needed in an initial change process (including governance and basic policy considerations, addressing practitioner concerns, and organizational change issues), steps for maturing the change management process, and lessons learned.
